August 3, 2014, was a black day. On this date in my city, all the roses and the smell of roses turned into ash and smoke. The terrorists (ISIS) came to my city and there were explosions everywhere, killing many people. They asked the men to convert to Islam or die. They killed a lot of men. They took the young boys and taught them how to kill their fathers or brothers. They took a lot of women and girls. They did a lot of things to the girls. They exploited the girls and sold the girls and women – like Nadia Murad and Lamea Bushar. ISIS sold a lot of girls in my city. After they exploited the girls, they would go and sell them for one smoke or for 25 Euros. Just imagine how you would feel if this had happened to your sister, your mother, or one of your friends. They were raped, exploited, beaten, used as servants, and sold in marketplaces.
